EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
(Ages 2 - 4)

Our Early Childhood Education program is open to children ages 2 through 4. Placement is determined by the age of the child as of September 1 each year. We use the ABeka Curriculum as a base, which is a structure system. In 4-year-old classes we also use the ACSI Bible Curriculum. Children learn Bible stories and verses, social skills (through playtime and stories), phonics (reading in ECE4), numbers, science, arts and crafts, poetry, and music. All teachers are CDA certified or higher degreed. Teachers are required to have 10 hours of training yearly for their continued education.
Snacks and juice are provided twice daily (3 and 4-year-olds receive the afternoon snack only if enrolled in Extended Care). Lunch is also included in the class charge.
Due to increased activity in the ECE3 program, children must be potty-trained before entering this age group and may not be held back in the 2-year-old group.

The ECE2 program introduces students to Bible stories, songs, and activities about Jesus and other Bible characters, and to recognize letters of the alphabet. Learning Numbers with Button Bear (an ABeka book) will help children recognize numbers 1-10 with coloring activities. The book "Growing Up With Amber Lamb" contains character-building stories. Amber Lamb, Button Bear, Katie Kitten and their friends help children learn to be kind, love God, share, obey, tell the truth, and be helpers. Fine motor skills are developed through the use of Play-Dough, crayons, puzzles, and blocks.
